Many of our holiday guests join us on day trips from London and stay over for a night or two.

With our niche Victorian townhouse location, contemporary feel and relaxed bar and restaurant, we think we are the perfect destination for grown-ups.

If you have a love of sand, sun(ish) and salty air try Great Yarmouth for day trips from London. A last-minute day out at the seaside can be a perfect end to a busy week; we’re within easy grasp too.

Travel options Trains from London go twice most hours and take less than two hours. The train ride from Norwich to Great Yarmouth is short and charming through nature reserves and the fens of Norfolk. (In other words, there are 24 trains per day travelling from Great Yarmouth to London Liverpool Street).

By car follow the A11 then onto the A47 with possible stops along the way at Cambridge, Newmarket and Thetford forest. Norwich Airport now has access to Great Yarmouth via the new NDR route. If travelling by Bus and Coach, expect a trip of just over three hours with the cheapest bus being £6.00, National Express.

Stepping back in time; For your day trips from London take-in the: Time and Tide Museum and The Hippodrome Circus. There are fascinating bits of history throughout the area too. From Roman buildings, the Britannia Monument or the hulking structure of The Winter Gardens. Paralleling the seafront are an array of slot machine amusement extravaganzas and wonderfully presented miniature golf courses. See the vintage cars and bikes that array the seafront on most sunny weekends or take a time-out on the Pleasure Beach rides.

If staying longer; Lowestoft, Pleasurewood Hills, Hemsby and the Norfolk Broads are all within easy reach.
